10. Quite obviously feeling threatened by some new tigress in the area. Despite having a cub close by, she was calling louding as she patrolled her territory. Normally they stay as quiet as possible at such times. Never trying to attract attention to themselves.

14. An amazing experience! I`d seen similar activity at a Great Hornbill nest, but never at a Grey Hornbill`s.

16. Eagle. “Jim Corbett National Park is home to around 110 tree species, 50 mammal species, 580 bird species, and 25 reptile species. The park`s historic rest houses include Garjiya, Sultan, Gairal, Sarpdhuli, Khinanauli, Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna, and Dhela.”
17. White-rumped Shama, one of the sweetest singers in the jungle. Established in 1936, it was India’s first national park. It is spread over app 1300 sq kms (520 sq kms main area, rest buffer) and is close to Nainital. It has different zones and entry gates.
18. Black Francolin. Sometimes you do see them high up in trees. Otherwise they`re mostly on the ground scuttling through tall grass. Best way to reach Corbett from Delhi is by taxi. Or take a train to Ramnagar railway station is 12 kms away. As per experts best season is November to June. “Jim Corbett National Park is home to a diverse range of landscapes, from hills and riverine belts to marshy depressions and grasslands.”
